New U.S. Import & Export Records

The U.S. foreign trade deficit in 2006 reached its five consecutive annual records, pushed most of all the ever largest oil import and the flood of goods from China, the Washington administration said.
The Trade Ministry said that the gap in the 2006 trade exchange widen for additional 6.5 percent and reached the all-time highest level of US$ 763.6bn, since the record import highly exceeding the record export.
