Russian Prime Minister Vladimir Putin started his working visit to Brussels Thursday morning meeting with European Commission president Jose Manuel Barroso.
Russian Prime Minister Vladimir Putin started his working visit to Brussels Thursday morning meeting with European Commission president Jose Manuel Barroso.
The Prime Minister, joined on the trip by Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov, as well as the ministers for finance, trade, agriculture and a host of other policy areas where
Brussels has EU-level powers, will meet EU president Herman Van Rompuy during the afternoon.
Main topics of the summit will be the new agreement between Russia and EU as well as adoption of the economic reforms necessary for Russia to join the World Trade Organization.
Representatives of Russia and European Commission will discuss a visa-free regime between Russia and EU, including lifting visa restrictions between Russia’s Kaliningrad region and the neighboring EU countries.
