Greece: CoS on memorandum appeal

An appeal demanding the annulment of a landmark memorandum agreed to by Greece with the "troika" -- EU Commission, ECB and IMF -- will be discussed by the Council of State (CoS) plenum on Oct. 8, 2010.

An appeal demanding the annulment of a landmark memorandum agreed to by Greece with the "troika" -- EU Commission, ECB and IMF -- will be discussed by the Council of State (CoS) plenum on Oct. 8, 2010.

The appeal was submitted by the Athens Bar Association, the Civil Servants Supreme Administrative Council (ADEDY), the Athens Journalists' Union (ESIEA) and other organisations, as well as 22 private individuals.

The CoS will also conside an appeal made a Thessaloniki-area municipality (Sohos) in 18 local residents against the "Kallikratis" local government merger plan.
