Minister of Agriculture, Forestry and Water Management Ljupco Dimovski, along with representatives of 30 wine cellars, promoted Sunday domestic brands at the International Fair of Agriculture and Food AGRA 2010 in Gornja Radgona, Slovenia.

At the event that attracted many visitors, Dimovski said that Macedonia was traditionally known by its grape wine growing and production of wine.

Locate in the heart of the Balkans, sunny, mountainous Macedonia offers excellent conditions for production of high-quality grape and wines, Dimovski said.

Macedonia's wine revenues make up 17-20 percent of the country's agricultural GDP, and therefor the Ministry of Agriculture has been investing in this sector - to stimulate its sustainable development and thus the overall economy, Dimovski said.
