European Commission asked Germany to report on the development of events after German consumers were warned to avoid potentially contaminated eggs, because highly toxic dioxin was found in food for poultry and swines last week, which made thousands of farms to stop sale.

However, according to the latest information, there is not danger for consumers in BiH.

Ombudsman institution for protection of consumers in BiH contacted the Food Safety Agency of BiH, Ombudsman institution for protection of consumers in BiH stated for FENA today.

“By the European RASFF alarming system there has not been any information that the product was delivered to BiH market, and according to the information there is no danger for consumers in BiH so far”, it was stated for FENA.
