Director of BiH Service for Foreigners’ Affairs Dragan Mektić warned that there are around 1,000 to 1,500 illegal immigrants on the territory of Greece or around the BiH borders.

As Mektic said, their intend is to use BiH as their transition station in order to enter Western Europe in an illegal way.

In his statement for Srna news agency, Mektić said that one must react immediately and face the “threatening wave of illegal immigrants.”

Mektić also claims that the competent bodies in BiH, that already work on this issue, will not allow BiH to get into the same difficult situation as it was the case with the neighbouring countries few months ago.
