We are here to assist the Government in overall Euro-integration process and on behalf of the (EU) Delegation to provide best possible support to all the activities related to this process for all remarks of the last (EC) report to be addressed, new EU Ambassador to Macedonia Peter Sorensen said Friday.

We are here to assist the Government in overall Euro-integration process and on behalf of the (EU) Delegation to provide best possible support to all the activities related to this process for all remarks of the last (EC) report to be addressed, new EU Ambassador to Macedonia Peter Sorensen said Friday after his first meeting with Vice-Premier for European Affairs Vasko Naumovski.

There is no doubt that the EU keeps supporting Macedonia in this process for which it intends to spend about EUR 98 million in the upcoming period, he told reporters.

Naumovski said he briefed Sorensen on ongoing, future Government's activities related to Macedonia's EU agenda. He reaffirmed the Government's commitment to all activities that would bring Macedonia closer to the EU membership.

"We are certain that the EU Delegation under Sorensen's helm is going to be the Government's most solid partner in the future period in the realization of our common goal," Naumovski said, expressing belief that the new EU Ambassador would do his best for Macedonia's EU accession talks to be opened soon.
