Yesterday in Sarajevo the House of People of the Federation was constituted, 33 delegates passed the solemn oath for the new four-year term.

The House of People has 58 members, but the Croatian delegates from two parties, the Croatian Democratic Union of BiH (HDZ) and the HDZ 1990, refused to attend the session.

The speaker in the House is Carolina Pavlovic, a Croatian representative and a member of the People's Party Work for Progress, and one of two Vice speakers is Jasmin Smailbegovic, a Bosnian and a member of the Social Democratic Party BiH (SDP).

The second Vice speaker should be of Serbian nationality, and will be subsequently elected.

The meeting was held in a turbulent atmosphere, due to the inability to reach an agreement with HDZ BiH and HDZ 1990, who demanded that all ministerial places at the state and entity level, at which Croatian nationals should be appointed, be given to these two parties.

When an agreement was not reached, the other parties announced that they are forming a new government without the two HDZ's.
