The spring edition of the 2011 Holiday Market International Travel Trade Fair opened on Thursday at the Parliament Palace in Bucharest.

The trade fair, this year in its second edition, is organised by the National Association of Romanian Travel Agencies, March 17-20.

In order to facilitate communication with the private sector, the Romanian Ministry of Regional Development and Tourism (MDRT) has set up its own stand that cover 78 square metres, where officials of the MDRT General Tourism Directorate, the promotion, tourist development, overseeing and authorisation departments are available for visitors.

Holiday Market 2011 is designed for travel authorities and professional associations, travel agencies and tour operators, tourist resorts, spa complexes, hotels and pensions, camping lots, travel publishing houses and publications.

MDRT informs in a press release that the trade fair is part of an Annual Travel Marketing and Promotion Programme and a project for the promotion of Romania's national tourism brand that are funded by European grants under the Regional Operational Programme.
