Romanian President Trajan Basesku reiterated in Bucharest that Romania will not recognized self-proclaimed independence of Kosovo until Belgrade and Pristina reach an agreement.His country will, however, continue to participate in KFOR activities.

The Romanian Supreme Council of National Defense decided in September to withdraw 178 Romanian policemen and gendarmes from EULEX.
