Bulgarian Minister of Finance Simeon Djankov has paid a visit to the Plama refinery near the city of Pleven, which is to restart production in December.
The refinery has been modernized and investments in it total 80 million USD. It is expected to process 700,000 tons of crude oil annually.
According to Minister Djankov, the products of Plama could get a major position on the Balkan market in 2-3 years. He added that as a few refineries have closed in Europe, Plama could be successful on western markets too.
