The emergency cabinet meeting, which will be followed by a meeting of Pasok’s parliamentary group, was called by Papandreou after German and French leaders Merkel and Sarkozy left their Greek counterpart in no doubt as to their anger of his decision to unilaterally put the latest Brussels bailout agreement at risk.
An emergency cabinet meeting was called by George Papandreou for 12 noon on November 3 as the international drama of the prime minister’s meeting with his French and German counterparts on the sidelines of the G20 summit in Cannes was replaced by turmoil on the domestic front.
