The new passenger terminal will spread across 31,200 m2 and will have a capacity of 1,800 passengers per hour. The airport requested EUR 17.6 million for the terminal.

During his meeting with shareholders on Friday Chairman of the Board of Airport Ljubljana Zmago Skobir announced that the existing passenger terminal was too small so the airport planned to build another one.

The second terminal, which should be opened in May 2015, is the airport’s central investment, since it will consume EUR 70 million out of a total of EUR 117 million the airport plans to invest by 2017.

Airport Ljubljana also plans to build a small logistic centre in 2013 and a freight terminal in 2014 and 2015.
