RS is currently forced to buy electricity, water flow in hydro-electric plants enormously decreased and “Elektroprivreda RS” has already appealed to rational use of electricity because there is electricity shortage in the entity.

Minister Zeljko Kovacevic confirmed that only thermal electric plants in Ugljevik and Gacko are operating normally and said he hopes that hydro-meteorological situation will improve so restrictions would not be introduced.

"Hydro-electric plants in RS are at minimum of their production and if there is no water flow in the future, we will be forced to shutdown hydro-electric plants'', Kovacevic confirmed in Banja Luka today.
