Prime Minister Zoran Milanovic on Saturday visited the coastal city of Dubrovnik where he met with European Council President Herman Van Rompuy who was attending the European Strategy Forum in Dubrovnik.
After a lunch, PM Milanovic and his guest took a walk down Stradun, the main street in the old part of the city, and visited other cultural and historical landmarks.
They discussed EU policy, notably the situation in Greece and the latest developments regarding Greece's debt, said Milanovic.
"Those developments have a vital influence on the dynamic of economic movements in Europe, and those movements are important for a country like Croatia, which does not want to live only on tourism," Milanovic said, adding that one should be a rational optimist about the current situation.
He announced Croatia Summit, to be held again in Dubrovnik this year, adding that his guests today were delighted by the city and its cultural and historical landmarks.
