Dimitris Hondrokoukis won the gold medal in the high jump event in the world indoor championships in Istanbul on Sunday, jumping 2.33 metres.

Dimitris Hondrokoukis won the gold medal in the high jump event in the world indoor championships in Istanbul on Sunday, jumping 2.33 metres.

The performance constitutes an individulal record for Hondrokoukis, since his previous record was 2.29 metres (he equalled it in the qualifying round).
