A draft for a National Programme for reforms in Bulgaria along the strategy Europe 2020 was presented at the Council of Ministers in Sofia.

A draft for a National Programme for reforms in Bulgaria along the strategy Europe 2020 was presented at the Council of Ministers in Sofia.

The document defines as a major goal the attaining of 76 percent of employment among the population of 20-64 by the year 2020.

To make that possible, the draft envisages measures for fiscal consolidation, the restoration of normal crediting for the economy, support for competitiveness, overcoming the consequences of unemployment and the social consequences of the crisis; modernization of the public administration.

Unchanged remain the priorities concerning the 1.5 percent of GDP investment in research, 16 percent portion of renewable energy sources in power consumption as well as the increase of energy efficiency by 25 percent until 2020.
