The 38. International Fair of Furniture, Household, and Social Buildings Equipment, Manufacturing Supplies, and Furniture Industry Machinery "Mebel 2012" opened at Skopje Fair on Tuesday.

Over 400 domestic and foreign exhibitors present their latest products in modern and classic furniture and design. Mebel fair is known for its most striking and original interior decorations that, besides home furniture, trace the trend of modern kitchens and elegant baths, illumination, flooring and wall decorations, upholsteries, office furniture for every taste, furniture for public facilities, furniture and accessories for gardens, as well as the latest technical and technological achievements of reproduction materials, machines and equipment for wood processing.

This specialized exhibition and commercial fair has developed into a stock exchange of this industrial branch and meeting point for producers and traders from Macedonia, the Balkans and beyond.

Ance Trifunovski, State Secretary at the Ministry of Economy, officially opened the fair, saying the presence of companies from Slovenia, Italy, Greece, Serbia, Kosovo and Croatia represented an indicator that foreign companies monitor and target the Macedonian market as a strategic destination.

"Manufacturers will have the opportunity to witness the latest technical-technological achievements of the equipment, materials and reproduction materials for the wood industry, but also establish business cooperation", said Trifunovski.

According to him, the fact that the number of visitors increased by the year demonstrated that this industrial branch has a bright future.

Over 60,000 visitors are expected at this year's fair.
