Bulgaria to sell 500 armored vehicles to Iraq

Bulgarian PM Boyko Borissov and Defense Minister Anyu Angelov opened the Tenth International Exhibition of Defense Technology, Hemus 2012: Defense, Anti-Terrorism and Security at the International Fair in Plovdiv, Southern Bulgaria.

Bulgarian PM Boyko Borissov and Defense Minister Anyu Angelov opened the Tenth International Exhibition of Defense Technology, Hemus 2012: Defense, Anti-Terrorism and Security at the International Fair in Plovdiv, Southern Bulgaria.

Close to fifty leading companies from USA, Austria, Germany, Poland, France, Sweden, Switzerland, as well as Bulgaria’s leading manufacturers have joined the exhibition.

Twenty-five official delegations from across the world attended the opening event, including defense ministers, senior military and military attaches.

On the very first day of the exhibition, the sale of 500 Bulgaria-made armored vehicles to Iraq was contracted to tune of EUR 75 million and special defense equipment for Algeria worth the total of EUR 35 million.
