Smoking ban at indoor public and work places comes into force in Bulgaria on 1 June

The smoking ban comes under Article 56 of the draft bill for amendments and supplements to the Healthcare Act.
Under the law the smoking will be banned at indoor public places and at work places.

Bulgaria enforces a smoking ban at indoor public and work places as of 1 June.

The smoking ban comes under Article 56 of the draft bill for amendments and supplements to the Healthcare Act.
Under the law the smoking will be banned at indoor public places and at work places.

An exception is allowed at specialized isolated areas at the airports. People under the age of 18 will not be allowed at the specialized isolated places for smoking.

The specialized smoking areas should be equipped with air-ventilation system, air-proof walls, tightly closed doors
