Turkey has never had territorial claims in view of Bulgaria or other neighbors, said the Ambassador of Turkey to Sofia Ismail Aramaz in talks with Bulgarian Foreign Minister Nikolai Mladenov.

Turkey has never had territorial claims in view of Bulgaria or other neighbors, said the Ambassador of Turkey to Sofia Ismail Aramaz in talks with Bulgarian Foreign Minister Nikolai Mladenov.

The meeting was occasioned by recent publications about an incorrect map of Turkey present in some school textbooks and disks, which include parts of the territory of Bulgaria Ambassador Aramaz informed Bulgaria’s Foreign Minister that the respective CD containing the map has been made as part of a local education programme in Istanbul in 2009, but it has been withdrawn immediately after the mistake had been intercepted.

Competent institutions voiced regret before the public for the error.
