According to the data of the Veritas, in the “Flash” operation in 1995 the Croatian army killed 283 people, of whom 57 women and nine children under 14 year of age, as well as another five aged between 14 and 18.

Savo Strbac, the president of the Documentation-Informative Center Veritas, has stated that even after 15 years the Croatian authorities have not commenced the investigation of their army’s crimes against the Serbs in western Slavonia, during the operation “Flash”.

Strbac has added that the prosecution of the Hague Tribunal also did not open an intensive investigation of those events.

According to the data of the Veritas, in the “Flash” operation in 1995 the Croatian army killed 283 people, of whom 57 women and nine children under 14 year of age, as well as another five aged between 14 and 18.

Strbac has reminded that the only lawsuit for the war crimes in this action was raised against general Mladen Kruljac, for ordering a sniper to shoot a Serb civilian, but the Croatian prosecution has rejected it.

The president of Veritas accuses the state of Croatia for delaying the exhumation of the Serbs who were killed in the “Flash” operation.
