The Bela Palanka municipality has received a street cleaning vehicle, 100 garbage containers and 30 special recycling containers totaling EUR70,000 from Japan.

Japanese Ambassador to Serbia Toshio Tsunozaki on Aug. 17 handed the Japanese government's donation to the Bela Palankabased utility company Komnis.

Bela Palanka Mayor Aleksandar Zivkovic told BETA that the donation is very important for the municipality and for environmental protection.

He expressed hope that cooperation with the Japanese government would continue, because the municipality had applied for funding from said government with a project aimed at improving the living and working conditions of children in the town kindergarten, worth EUR65,000.
