JAT-MA cooperation, agreed yesterday in Montenegro capital Podgorica, sets the foundations of a regional air traffic alliance and all air companies are invited to join in if they have 'complementary fleets'.

Srdjan Radovanovic, Director General of Serbia's national carrier JAT Airways, said Wednesday that the company will establish a partnership with Montenegro counterpart 'Montenegro Airlines' (MA) as of October 31.

The Serbian and Montenegrin carriers have a total of 22 planes - JAT 14 and MA - eight, Radovanovic said, pointing out that two companies agreed to share the destinations, hence provide sufficient number of planes for new destinations.

The move will save a lot of money and thus lead to reducing the tickets' prices, Radovanovic said.
