In his interview to the Politika Daily, Minister of Labor and Social Policy Rasim Ljajic emphasized that additional 850 million dinars will be secured within the budget rebalance for the most vulnerable citizen strata.

The increase in number of poor citizens in Serbia is a result of the global economic crisis, and with the announced budget rebalance projecting 5 billion dinars to be allocated for social protection, money will be allocation for regular social assistance, said Ljajic.

According to him, the state should strengthen economy and increase employment rate, and at the same time handle emergency situations and secure basic conditions for the most vulnerable citizen strata.
