State Secretary of the Ministry for Kosovo and Metohija Oliver Ivanovic stated that the political alternation in Kosovska Mitrovica has not been completed yet and that two mandates are disputable, while VP of the DSS Marko Jaksic believes that the alternation of power went in a regular manner.

The leadership of the parallel municipality in north Mitrovica was overthrown as two representatives did not give their trust to the government. The move made the Democratic Party lose the majority of municipal advisors.

With votes of 16 MPs, the municipal authorities in Kosovska Mitrovica were ousted, as two MPs of Ljajic’s Social Democratic Party of Serbia supported MPs of the Serbian Progressive Party and the DSS.

„I believe that the just solution would be to examine mandates, return them to the party that will in turn elect people who will not change their mind for material reasons, Ivanovic told the Beta agency.
