First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of the Interior Ivica Dacic said that Friday’s demonstrative exercise “Stop Terrorism”, performed by the Ministry of the Interior’s Counter-Terrorist Unit at Pasuljanske Livade training field, shows that Serbia has special units for most difficult tasks.

Dacic said that activities of special police forces include fight against terrorism, organised criminal groups, the preservation of public peace and order, and more.

Dacic expressed satisfaction with the level of skills of the Counter-terrorist unit, especially of the parachute units.

The scenario of the exercise consisted of the elimination of a spy terrorist group. The Counter-terrorist unit used sniper rifles, manual and automatic grenade launchers, mortars and small arms.
