Last night in northern Kosovo-Metohija went by peacefully, without KFOR movements, and with number of Serbs spending it behind the barricades set up on the roads.
The Serbs spent another cold night in their cars, tractors and around fire lit in front of the barricades in Zupce, Jagnjenica, Kosovska Mitrovica and several other locations.
The traffic leading across the two administrative crossings in northern Kosovo is blocked, thus leaving detours as alternatives for reaching Raska, Ribaric and Novi Pazar, i.e. the north of the province from these cities. The barricade erected by Serbs at the Brnjak crossing three days ago is more than two meters high, and KFOR supplied its troops by air drops on Sunday as well.
Serbs opened one lane on main roads several days ago, in order to enable KFOR to supply their units. KFOR is not using the possibility to move freely, and, as they put it, they will not use it until all international missions are given the same freedom.
The Serbs, however, do not want to allow passage for EULEX, because the mission transports Kosovo customs officers and police to the administrative crossings Jarinje and Brnjak.
