The team of the Belgrade Mathematical Gymnasium won the mathematics competition in Moscow, Gymnasium principal Srdjan Ognjanovic stated late on Saturday.

This is another proof that our students have the upper hand over the best teams from Russian high schools, Ognjanovic said.

The tournament, as one of the most prestigious and most serious contests traditionally organised by Russia, gathered 65 teams and 260 students of mathematical gymnasiums from Russia, Ukraine, South Korea, Kazakhstan and Serbia. The contest was organised by the famous Kolmogorov high school which served as a model in the foundation of Belgrade Mathematical Gymnasium.
