Serbian Minister of Agriculture and Trade Dusan Petrovic expressed expectation late on Friday that the Serbian government would harmonise the document on the situation in Kosovo-Metohija (KiM) and that the parliament sitting on the issue would not be marked by dramatic events.

Serbian Minister of Agriculture and Trade Dusan Petrovic expressed expectation late on Friday that the Serbian government would harmonise the document on the situation in Kosovo-Metohija (KiM) and that the parliament sitting on the issue would not be marked by dramatic events.

In an interview for Television B92, Petrovic said that the Serbian government is discussing the matter every day and expressed belief that positions would be completely harmonised before the parliament session.

Petrovic, who also holds office as the deputy leader of the Democratic Party (DS), said that the DS policy on the EU and KiM is clear and that its goals have not changed, adding that the goals of the government, within which the DS represents the backbone, have not changed either.

Petrovic denied the possibility of the DS closing a coalition with the Serbian Progressive Party (SNS).

The SNS has drawn an excellent move by placing the EU as one of its top priorities, but the party does not have the capacities to achieve this aim, Petrovic said.
