The date of the next round of Belgrade-Pristina dialogue should be determined in the next few days, probably after the parliament discusses the government's declaration on Kosovo, said head of Belgrade's team in the dialogue with Pristina Borislav Stefanovic.

The date of the next round of Belgrade-Pristina dialogue should be determined in the next few days, probably after the parliament discusses the government's declaration on Kosovo, said head of Belgrade's team in the dialogue with Pristina Borislav Stefanovic.

He said that the negotiations with the EU on the talks with Pristina are heading in a positive direction. "We are ready to continue the talks, and as soon as we agree on the date of the new meeting we will determine the agenda.

Right now the most important thing is to find a solution for the (administrative) crossings of Jarinje and Brnjak (in northern Kosovo), and progress has already been made in that respect," Stefanovic said in an interview for the Wednesday edition of the Belgrade daily Vecernje Novosti.

He said that he is in everyday contact via video-link with EU mediator in the dialogue Robert Cooper. "I am not in contact with (head of Pristina team) Edita Tahiri. Talks are underway with the international community, and we will see what the results will be," Stefanovic added.

He noted that it is in Serbia's interest to sit at the negotiating table before December 9, when the European Commission is set to decide on granting candidate status to the country. "Our goal is continue the dialogue, and the precondition for that is a proper agreement on the crossings."

Commenting the request for his dismissal, presented by the municipalities in northern Kosovo-Metohija and the Democratic Party of Serbia, Stefanovic said: "The easiest thing to do now would be to give up on everything. I do not want to indulge in cheap politics and become one of those whose only weapon in defending Serbia's interests is theorising."
