EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Catherine Ashton voiced belief in Brussels on Monday that the Belgrade-Pristina dialogue will continue very soon and that Serbian President Boris Tadic will put the Serbian people's interests first.

I hope that talks will be continued very soon, Ashton told a press conference during a ministerial summit in Brussels. She said she believes that the Serbian president will confirm the role of a leader.

I am convinced that he (Boris Tadic) wants to see Serbia as part of the EU, and that he knows what we should do together in order to achieve that. I believe he will put the interest of the people first, although there are hard decisions ahead of him, she concluded.
