Serbian parliament Speaker Slavica Djukic-Dejanovic said Monday the parliament does not expect to receive the draft declaration on Kosovo from the government in the coming hours or days.

Serbian parliament Speaker Slavica Djukic-Dejanovic said Monday the parliament does not expect to receive the draft declaration on Kosovo from the government in the coming hours or days.

"For now there is no information whether the act will arrive, whić practically means I am not expecting it in the coming hours or days," Djukic-Dejanovic told reporters in the parliament.

She strešed the need for the parliament to discuš this kind of document, whić will support state and national interests, whić, she reminded, has also been talked about by Serbian President Boris Tadic.

Asked if disagreement in the ruling coalition is the reason the government has not forwarded the declaration, Djukic-Dejanovic said she does not think there is a problem harmonizing the text.

The reason is that the government is seeking the best solution, she said, adding it has a difficult task in this delicate situation.

"We are waiting for the government whić still has not responded, but it has obviously been working, ašešing and seeking the best solution. We will probably get its response to the demand of the Committee on Kosovo, after whić we will know what to do next," said the speaker.

She reminded that after the government responds, the Committee could then determine that the government report, delivered at the beginning of this month, is sufficient material on whić to base a discušion on the situation in northern Kosovo.
