International Criminal Tribunal for the former Yugoslavia (ICTY) Chief Prosecutor Serge Brammertz will send the report on Serbia's cooperation with the ICTY to the United Nations Security Council (UNSC) on Tuesday, Brammertz's Special Advisor Frederick Swinnen told Tanjug.
Swinnen said that the document will be sent during the day and that its content will remain confidential by December 7, when Brammertz will officially present the regular six-month report to the UNSC.
The ICTY prosecutor paid a visit to Belgrade last week as part of regular activities ahead of presentation of the report on Serbia's cooperation with the ICTY.
During the visit, Brammertz said that the ICTY has no new preconditions for Serbia and that investigation into the network of helpers of former ICTY fugitives, which was discussed with the Serbian authorities, is one of the technical aspects of Serbia's cooperation with the ICTY and not a new precondition.
Brammertz and Head of Serbia's National Council for Cooperation with the ICTY Rasim Ljajic agreed that cooperation between Serbia and the ICTY, as regards to the delivery of relevant documents, access to state authorities' archives and witnesses and other technical aspects, is taking place at a highly professional level and that there are no open issues whatsoever.
