Serbian President Boris Tadic will meet with British Prime Minister David Cameron and other officials of the United Kingdom (UK) in London Wednesday.
Tadic and Cameron are expected to discuss bilateral relations, European integration process and economic cooperation.
The UK is among the members of the European Union (EU) supporting European integration of the Western Balkan countries and opposing attitudes that there should be a pause in the EU enlargement process after Croatia has been admitted to the Union.
One of the facts showing UK's support is that Parliament has ratified the Stabilisation and Association Agreement (SAA) between the EU and Serbia.
Tadic is visiting London for the first time since assuming the office of the head of state, at a time when Serbia is waiting Brussels to issue a decision on its candidate status for EU membership.
British Ambassador to Serbia Michael Davenport has told Tanjug that Serbia should make progress in its dialog with Pristina as soon as possible if it hopes for a positive decision on the candidacy.
The Belgrade-Pristina dialog should resume in late November.
Tadic's meetings with the UK officials in London should also touch on economic cooperation, including opportunities for new British investment in Serbia.
