The companies, which at the moment do not have the capacity to deliver high-tech components that CERN needs, can participate together with other companies in development projects that would create new technologies for a certain period and then deliver them to CERN.
The Serbian economy should benefit from its membership in the European Organization for Nuclear Research (CERN) as it would be able to participate in equipment tenders and development programs, Associate Research Professor at the Institute of Physics Belgrade Antun Balaz has stated.
Serbian companies will be able to participate in tenders for CERN equipment procurement, regardless if it was high-tech or equipment necessary for functioning of any large company, Balaz said for Radio and Television of Serbia.
The Serbian companies will also be able to get development projects.
“The companies, which at the moment do not have the capacity to deliver high-tech components that CERN needs, can participate together with other companies in development projects that would create new technologies for a certain period and then deliver them to CERN,” Balaz said.
In the end, as Balaz puts it, these technologies can stay in the companies or be delivered to other companies in the country and abroad.
