New Chief EULEX Prosecutor appointed

EULEX has appointed Jaroslava Novotna as its new Chief Prosecutor. Novotna has worked as a prosecutor for more than thirty years, most recently working in the Supreme Prosecutor’s Office in the Czech Republic.

EULEX has appointed Jaroslava Novotna as its new Chief Prosecutor. Novotna has worked as a prosecutor for more than thirty years, most recently working in the Supreme Prosecutor’s Office in the Czech Republic.

She has particular expertise in dealing with cases related to drugs trafficking and organised crime. She is also a specialist in legal cooperation in criminal matters. Novotna has been a representative of the Czech Republic for the Eurojust Mission in the Hague Tribunal, dealing mainly with judicial cooperation between the Czech Republic and the other competent authorities of EU Member States.

The newly-appointed EULEX Chief Prosecutor will begin her duties immediately.
