Serbian Gov't completes 55 percent of EU integration programme

In the final quarter of last year, 55 percent of the National Programme for Integrating Serbia with the EU was completed relative to planned obligations, the Serbian Government announced on Jan. 27.

The Serbian Government adopted a Report on the Implementation of the National Program for EU Integration for the OctoberDecember 2011 period, which was released by the European Integration Office.

As for the approval of draft laws and the adoption of bylaws in the fourth quarter of 2011, the Serbian Government had a 54 percent success rate, with 45 of a total 83 regulations approved and adopted.

"As a whole, and just looking at the regulations planned for enactment between July 2008 and December 2011, 80 percent (775/973) of the National Program for Integration has been completed," the statement said.
