At a public hearing “National Assembly on the Path of EU Integration”, Delevic said that the EU is Serbia’s largest trade partner with a 56% share in trade, followed by CEFTA countries, namely the ones aspiring towards EU membership.

Head of the EU Integration Office Milica Delevic today stated that over the past several years the EU has been Serbia’s largest investor, donor and trade partner.

At a public hearing “National Assembly on the Path of EU Integration”, Delevic said that the EU is Serbia’s largest trade partner with a 56% share in trade, followed by CEFTA countries, namely the ones aspiring towards EU membership.

She specified that Serbia’s largest partners in the EU are Italy, Germany and Romania, stressing that export to these countries exceeds export to China, Russia, Turkey and the United States together.

Over the past several years, after trade agreements with the EU were signed, we have recorded a continuous surplus in trade with EU states in terms of agriculture.

As for FDI in Serbia, Delevic noted that our largest investors are Austria, Norway, Greece, Germany, Italy, the Netherlands, Slovenia, Russia, Luxembourg and Switzerland.

She observed that EU states are Serbia’s largest donors with €2.2 billion donated funds, noting that Serbia’s main task now is to meet all obligations on the EU path from December 2011.
