Serbia, Denmark to sign agreement on support to private sector for fruit production, processing

The goal of the agreement is to improve production and processing in underdeveloped parts of Serbia, increase export of fresh fruits and fruit products, garner larger income for the local population and create new jobs.

Minister of Agriculture, Trade, Forestry and Water Management Dusan Petrovic and Danish Ambassador to Serbia Mette Kjuel Nielsen will sign an agreement on implementing a Programme of support to the private sector in the remit of fruits and berries in the southern part of central Serbia on 10 February at 12.00, at the government’s press room, Nemanjina 11.

The goal of the agreement is to improve production and processing in underdeveloped parts of Serbia, increase export of fresh fruits and fruit products, garner larger income for the local population and create new jobs.

The implementation of the Programme has been projected for the period 2012–2014.
