Serbia's balance of payments deficit in the period from January to November 2011 totaled USD 3.44 billion which is 39 percent more than in the respective period in 2010, reads the magazine Conjuncture Trends of Serbia, published by the Serbian Chamber of Commerce.

The increase in the balance of payments deficit was mainly triggered by the growth in the negative balance of commodity trade - 17.7 percent and revenues - 16.7 percent.
The total net inflow of direct foreign investments in the period from January to November 2011 amounted to USD 2.14 billion, which is twice as much compared to the same period in the previous year.
Serbia's balance of trade in services from January to November 2011 was positive, with a USD 159.6 million surplus, while the export amounted to USD 3.8 billion and import USD 3.64 billion.
Compared to the same period in 2010, the export of services increased by 20.4 percent, while the import went up by 16.2 percent. The 2011 export-import ratio totaled 104.4 percent.
