Eleven people, including six girls from Serbia, have been arrested in Pristina on Saturday in an operation carried out by the Kosovo police, reads the police announcement.

Eleven people, including six girls from Serbia, have been arrested in Pristina on Saturday in an operation carried out by the Kosovo police, reads the police announcement.

The investigation into organized crime and human trafficking, which was launched two months ago, led to the arrest of these persons in a hotel in Pristina, the Kosovo police said.

During the operation, police officers managed to identify one person from Albania, which is a potential victim of human trafficking, the release adds.

The arrestees were placed in a 48-hour detention.
