€25 m investment in defence industry

Assistant Minister Ilija Pilipovic underlined that the defence industry is currently making an investment worth €25 million.

Minister of Defence Dragan Sutanovac and Assistant Minister for financial resources Ilija Pilipovic visited yesterday the 56th international fair of technology and technological achievements at the Belgrade fair.

Representative of the Serbian defence industry at the fair is company “Krusik“ from Valjevo, and its General Director Jovan Davidovic presented to the Minister products from the factory’s civilian programme.

Assistant Minister Ilija Pilipovic underlined that the defence industry is currently making an investment worth €25 million.

He said that the Ministry of Defence and the Serbian Army pay much attention to the modernisation of defence industry capacities, and thus the Serbian economy in general.

Sutanovac and Pilipovic also visited the other stands at the fair where various technological innovations are presented.

This year's technical and technological fair presents achievements that directly promote the potentials and interests in the technical field and has gathered 500 exhibitors from 23 countries.
