Acting president of the Serbian Progressive Party Aleksandar Vucic announced on June 7 that his party would expose information showing that politicians from the Democratic Party had named personal demands during talks with the Italian Danieli company on investing in Serbia.
"We will come forward with information on what was demanded from them, what they were supposed to do, and why Sisak (Croatia) was incomparably cheaper than Sabac. Not because they did not want [to invest in] Sabac, but because certain politicians from the Democratic Party had conditions of their own," Vucic told a news conference.
He added that he met with Italy's ambassador in Serbia Armando Varricchio was waiting for permission to go public with the information, plus that he would seek more information from Danieli.
"Then we will see the liars from the Democratic Party," Vucic said, adding that Boris Tadic's claims and those of his party that Danieli had left Serbia because of the result of presidential elections, "are a vicious lie."
Vucic added that President Tomislav Nikolic would announce coming investments in Serbia by the end of July or summer. This is one of the most important things to him, Vucic said.
