President Dmitry Medvedev is to discuss international measures to tackle the global crisis with IMF head Christine Lagarde at a meeting in Moscow Monday.

President Dmitry Medvedev is to discuss international measures to tackle the global crisis with IMF head Christine Lagarde at a meeting in Moscow Monday.

They are expected to look into possible ways to implement guidelines from the latest summit of the G-20 in Cannes in southern France.

Russia wields a hefty stake in the IMF. Since 2005, it has also been extending loans to it.
