Montenegro takes over the Presidency of the Adriatic-Ionian Initiative

Montenegrin Foreign Minister Milan Rocen leaving today to Ancona, where at the invitation of his Italian counterpart Franco Frattini, will attend a meeting of the Council of Ministers of the Adriatic-Ionian Initiative.

Montenegrin Foreign Minister Milan Rocen leaving today to Ancona, where at the invitation of his Italian counterpart Franco Frattini, will attend a meeting of the Council of Ministers of the Adriatic-Ionian Initiative, Radio Television of Montenegro reported.

Montenegro will take over one-year presidency of this regional initiative at the meeting in Ancona.

At the meeting is expected to be decided preparation of an EU strategy for the Adriatic-Ionian macro-region, and adopting a Ministerial Declaration and other documents.
