Central Election Commission BiH has made today Decision on announcing and holding general election in BiH in 2010. The elections will be held on Sunday, October 3rd.
Central Election Commission BiH has made today Decision on announcing and holding general election in BiH in 2010. The elections will be held on Sunday, October 3rd.
CEC BiH president Irena Hadziabdic said at the press-conference in Sarajevo today that CEC has announced general election for: BiH Presidency, BiH PA House of Representatives, FBiH PA House of Representatives, RS President and Vice-President, RS NA and cantonal assemblies in FBiH.
“12.6 million KM will be spent for implementation of this election. 8.5 million KM will be allocated from budget of institutions and 4 million KM from municipalities’ budgets”; Hadziabdic said.
According to her words, CoE has ensured donation in the amount of 82.778 KM aimed for development of two manuals – manual for work of election boards and manual for observers.
The current number of people who can vote in BiH and who are registered in central election list is 3.120.778.
Election period in BiH officially starts from today, May 5th 2010, and it lasts until the results of elections are confirmed.
CEC president said that this will be third general election conducted by this institution and 6th held in BiH after the war.
