40 Israeli people – students from different Israeli Universities are staying in Sarajevo from August 16 to September 1. Purpose of their stay in BiH is research of cultural heritage of BiH Jews.
40 Israeli people – students from different Israeli Universities are staying in Sarajevo from August 16 to September 1. Purpose of their stay in BiH is research of cultural heritage of BiH Jews.
Student delegations have documented Jewish heritage of different Jewish communities all over Europe and Asia since 2002, and now they visited and researched heritage of Jewish communities in Turkey (Izmir), Slovakia (Kosice), Czech (Brno), Romania (Oradea), Bulgaria (Sofia), Greece (Tesaloniki), India (Mombay), Georgia, and Hungary (Debrecin).
“Travelling through Jewish cultural heritage” is Zalman Shatar Center’s program for Jewish history. This unique project has double mission: strengthening Jewish identity among young Israeli and documenting Jewish heritage in different Jewish centers worldwide”, Jewish Municipality in Sarajevo announced.
