Authorities announced on Thursday (September 23rd) the arrest of a man suspected of cyber fraud worth $3m against eBay Inc. The arrest was carried out in co-operation with the US Secret Service and Italian authorities.

Liviu Mihail Concioiu allegedly stole the IDs and passwords of about 3,000 employees of the online shop last year and accessed company files, including a database of eBay clients and their transactions.

Then he allegedly used "phishing" sites to access the accounts of an estimated 1,200 eBay users.
