According to the data of the Macedonian State Statistical Office, average net salary amounted to MKD 20,541 in August in FYRMacedonia. This is an increase of 3.4 percent compared with August last year.

The increase is based on the 7.9-percent growth of net salaries in the processing industry.

Moreover, net salaries grew by 6.3 percent in ore mining industry and by 6.2 percent in education. In comparison with July, average net salary increased the most in the transport, warehousing and communications sector (7.6 percent).

Salaries in the electricity, gas and water supply sector and the hotels and restaurants sector increased by 5.5 percent and 4.8 percent, respectively. In August, average gross salary amounted to MKD 30,207.
